  • Full-time

Company Description

Challenge: On average, 11,000 ‘healthcare experienced veterans’ are separating from the military annually and facing significant challenges in finding meaningful employment in the healthcare industry. On the other hand, the healthcare industry is one of the fastest growing sectors with the highest demand for talent and facing many systemic challenges of its own. It’s time to turn these two sets of challenges into opportunity for both our veterans and the healthcare industry.

Opportunity: With many years of veteran development and career placement experience, ImPowerQ Associates are proud leaders in launching the Heroes to Healthcare (H2H) mission as part of our Veterans Integration Program (VIP). H2H aims to provide healthcare experienced veterans with the bridge to productive and meaningful careers while providing healthcare organizations high-quality talent.

Thanks to the support of leading healthcare companies, the US Department of Labor and great veterans wanting to pay it forward, H2H launched as a Registered Apprenticeship Program approved by The US Department of Labor. This blended learning model provides employment, while participants progress through a well defined 16-24 Month learning program while also providing a significant economic advantage for veterans and employers.

Earn While You Learn: Participants will be expected to successfully complete a paid Apprenticeship Program consisting of on the job, in person and online accelerated training.  Participants may be eligible for GI Bill® Monthly Housing Allowance.

Certification: Participants will be prepared for receiving certification by Nationally Recognized / Industry Leading credentialing organizations specific to the Apprenticeship the veteran is selected for.  Current US DOL Registered Apprenticeships tracks are:  Certified Healthcare Administrator - CPPM (E5+), Certified Pharmacy Technician - CPhT and Certified Medical Assistant - CCMA.  Each track is designed to provide the desired entry point and development experience to grow into a meaningful career.

Fees: There is no cost to veterans

Compensation:  Compensation is based on Apprenticeship role and region.  Participants will be provided a competitive salary as well as qualify for GI Bill® Monthly Housing Allowance for the duration of the apprenticeship.
