About you 

 • Experience in Purchasing of at least 3 years;
• Capability to identify business opportunities and deliver results;
• Capability to create trust and relations, in order to build long-term partnership with the suppliers;
• Deep knowledge of industry and market specific conditions and macroeconomic trends;
• Deep knowledge of IKEA Purchasing Manual and of the process of start-up of a new supplier;
• Legal knowledge (understanding of purchase agreement package);
• Ability to make Risk Analysis and Scenario Planning
• Strong negotiation skills;
• Preferred experience as Business Developer of at least 3 years;
• English fluent.

About the job

The Business Developer within the Business Team of the Purchasing Operations Area is responsible to drive Business project and together with categories, free range or development matrix evaluate the capabilities of the suppliers to fulfil the assignment received by the PLA New Business Team.
Your tasks will include:

• Find and start up the next generation of IKEA suppliers;
• Together with the New Business Manager, the supply planners and the engineers develop partners, new materials, new technologies and new sourcing markets;
• Securing that materials, products and suppliers capabilities fulfil IKEA requirements;
• Pro-active work together with other teams/stakeholders to integrate opportunities.
