IKEA Malaysia seeking a passionate Communication & Interior Design (Com&In) Manager with a strong commercial sense to drive our ambitious agenda, supporting the country in strengthening the IKEA brand and its competitive position through impactful and relevant executions that enhance brand identity.
Your assignment
- Lead, develop, and inspire store teams to enhance interest in home furnishings and create demand for solutions and “know-how” in the local market.
- Responsible for country guidelines and solutions on range presentation and store communication, contributing to positioning IKEA as a leader in "life at home" and ensuring successful Commercial Review scores across all stores.
- Utilize knowledge of IKEA products and consumer lifestyles to drive business growth, while challenging teams to seize commercial opportunities in both the short and long term.
- Guide the Comm&In team in creating relevant range presentation solutions, optimizing store layouts, and implementing efficient communication strategies that elevate the IKEA brand above competitors.
- Actively participate in the country management team, providing specialist insights to create and execute the country business plan, along with short- and long-term strategies for commercial performance.
- Contribute to the IKEA brand in Malaysia through effective communication and inspiration strategies, measured by Brand Capital metrics.
- Ensure vitality and seasonality by leading the country service office and store teams in executing the commercial calendar across all store media.
- Develop Communication and Interior Design competencies within the team across all specialist areas.
- Inspire and cultivate curiosity about consumer behavior and perceptions in Malaysia to enhance IKEA's competitive position and commercial performance.
Qualifications
Your profile
- Proven experience as a Communication & Interior Design Manager at IKEA is essential.
- Strong understanding of home furnishings and insight into people's everyday lives.
- Knowledge of interior design principles is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of shopping behaviour, retailing, and effective communication.
- Proven track record and demonstrated passion in building the competence of co-workers.
- Ability to inspire and motivate teams in achieving goals and driving long-term growth and profitability.
- Capability to support and challenge team members, enhancing the IKEA offer and exceeding customer expectations.
- Experience in setting and implementing action plans together with multiple store teams.
- Strong creative problem-solving skills with the ability to influence opinions and defend actions.
- Ability to view situations from the customer’s perspective, prioritizing their experiences and needs.
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in stakeholder management for effective collaboration.
