Job Description
You deliver an easy buying experience for all customers throughout the complete payment process and joyful shopping experience for all IKEA visitors and customers. This includes handling payment in a reliable, efficient, accurate and friendly way as well as supporting the check-out co-worker in their daily work. IKEA Sukhumvit will be part of the Emsphere retail development on Sukhumvit Road and is due to open in December 2023.
- Ensure that our check-outs are efficiently equipped at all times throughout the day and in shape as new.
- Have the knowledge, confidence, responsibility, authority and desire to support customer payment and that they achieve this in an efficient and simple way.
- Be present in the check-out area in order to support the check-out co-workers and ensure customers leave with a positive impression of the IKEA store.
- Deliver a fast and positive payment experience by steering the check-out operation in a friendly, customer-focused and cost-efficient manner.
- Follow cash handling procedures to ensure the security of money handling.
Qualifications
- Be passionate about customers and always strive to deliver a positive shopping experience.
- Experience in consistently meeting and exceeding customer needs through understanding the customers in a service industry.
- Ability to prioritise and organise work and the work of others in order to make the most efficient use of the time available.
- Confident decision-maker
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently in English.
- Computer proficient
- Knowledge of the IKEA product range, including service products.
- Interested in people’s everyday life at home and home furnishing.
