Job Description

  • As Leader of Sales, you are to responsible for developing and implementing the Sales Strategy for IKEA for Business in Thailand. This is to be done in cooperation with the IKEA for Business Country manager and the IKEA for Business SEA Management.
  • You are responsible for identifying potential customers, with particular focus on the area of larger Residential Developers and larger Office clients, and for initiating the contact, lead the negotiations and close the sale with these.
  • You are responsible for follow-up and follow-through on all customer leads generated through any of the customer touchpoints, to ensure that customers experience that they are ‘attended to’ in a timely and professional manner, and that sales opportunities thereby are optimized.
  • In cooperation with the Fulfilment function, you will oversee the execution of larger orders, and manage the communication and follow-up with the customers.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring that the company’s competitive advantage within Sustainability is incorporated into the general sales presentations, in support of the overall image of IKEA for Business.

Qualifications

  • Service oriented with minimum 3-5 years experience in sales to professional customers, and with proven track record within interior furnishings or related industries.
  • Good conceptual and practical understanding of IKEA’s identity and range, with strong ability to communicate the IKEA concept to external contacts.
  • Good commercial understanding of offline as well as online marketing/sales, as well as dynamics and opportunities within multi-channels sales.
  • Strong negotiations and commercial skills, with experience in corporate sales and in meeting larger customers/organizations at senior management levels.
  • Understanding and commitment to company Culture and Values, with strong ability to convey these directly and indirectly through own way of being.
  • Alignment with IKEA’s Sustainability strategy and knowledge of how to communicate principles.
  • Fluent in English. Other Asian language is an added advantage.
  • Positive personality. Fair, honest and trustworthy with excellent interpersonal skills, strong commercially creative sense and a good sense of humour.
  • Self-reliant with proven ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Enthusiastic, with strong desire to be part of a positive and challenging environment.
  • Supportive to others, keen to share knowledge and learning with others in the organization, and to go the extra mile as part of an ambitious team.
