You will secure the best procurement strategies for IKEA brand. You will actively improve and develop the business in Ikea Mexico as well as to lead and follow the procurement concept. An important part of your role is to build trustful relations with stakeholders, suppliers and users to achieve the best solutions for IKEA. Together with the stakeholders you will ensure the compliance of agreements. You will secure the Code of Conduct, sustainability and business ethics standards. It is also important that you contribute and exchange experiences with other purchasers within the organization to improve the procurement practices across the organization.

  • Responsible for securing the best buy in term of prices and services for Ikano business operation within the defined quality framework.
  • Responsible for controlling, organizing, conducting, and documenting the complete purchasing and tendering process activity from start to finish.
  • Responsible to build long term continuous improvement sourcing strategies through use of KPI and SLA to improve competitive advantage.
  • This includes providing support in the vendor management process and continuous educational training to business process owners.
  • Support the roll out of purchasing policy and process at all business areas and constantly provide inputs and initiative on purchasing strategies to Procurement Manager.
  • Secure compliance of procurement process with applicable rules and guidelines during execution at all business areas considering internal and external best practices

Qualifications

  • You have a university degree in engineering or business administration/economics and experience in business development and/or sourcing.

  • Strong power of initiative and dare to challenge others

  • Strong communication skills with fluency in Spanish and English, both written and verbal
  • Excellent computer knowledge in MS Excel, PowerPoint and online tools

  • Excellent analytical, evaluation and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage many things simultaneously and easily shift perspective from detailed to high level
  • Result oriented with desire and motivation to improve our business and look for better solutions.
