Job Description

To support the growth of Ikano Retail México by managing the process of Tax reporting compliance and internal Financial Consolidation and Reporting of all entities in the business. To assist Ikano Retail Mexico steer the business towards sustained long term profitability.

  • Responsible for Tax compliance in a monthly basis and coordinate set up of Tax frame in the different business units.
  • Ensuring tax compliance for IKANO MX companies by reviewing Monthly VAT / GST Submission, Corporate Tax Return, or any other tax of fee that applies.
  • Continuously keeping up to date with new Mexican regulations changes “miscelaneas fiscales on place” in coordination with Tax advisors
  • Development of  Financial models, processes and systems strong support to Financial Department, ensuring proper control of the process’s implementation and training
  • Coordinate, consolidate and review monthly management results for reporting entities for statutory report and local compliance under IFRS and reporting for LUX GAAP with Accounting Managers and relevant Business Navigators. Provide brief commentary on significant variances to established budget / forecast.
  • Manage and consolidate P&L and BS management forecasts for IKEA, Support Function allowing analysis at different viewpoints through the business (Comparable/Non-Comparable, EO, Business lines & allocation of SO etc.)
  • Lead the consolidation of annual P&L and BS Budget and Support Function through collaboration with respective Business Navigators, Finance Managers and Accounting Managers, who are responsible for their respective Budgets.
  • Coordinate and review quarterly actual and forecast submission in Cognos for Group Finance. Ensure that accounting entries for Group reporting are in line with Group accounting standards and that these standards are applied consistently for quarterly reporting.
  • Responsible for Chart of accounts
  • Support and sharer P&L and BS Finance Committee
  • Review disclosures from subsidiaries and statutory consolidation by Accounting Manager (SO Mexico) and ensure that accounting treatment and disclosures are in line with management consolidation
  • Lead and own Financial Reporting methodology:- documentation of methods and processes ensuring best practice is adopted.

Qualifications

  • High level of English written and speaking - Mandatory
  • Degree in Accounting or Economics, with specialization or proved experience in tax management.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in a supervisor position 
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in local tax context
  • Consolidation and Reporting
  • Accountancy qualification
  • Preferred: Expert in financial reporting and Tax context in retail
  • Financial Accounting and analytics
  • Financial IT literacy, Reporting systems experience
  • Strong influencing and communication skills
  • Self-reliant with a proven ability to work as part of a team as well as Independently
