Job Description
We are currently looking for a Architect/devops to join our team at the Ignitis Latvia. In this role, you’ll be responsible to ensuring a stable and scalable platform, designing infrastructure architecture, implementing automation processes. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:
- Ensuring a stable and scalable platform: To build and maintain a centralized, secure, and resilient platform infrastructure that serves as the foundation for efficient company software development and operations
- Designing infrastructure architecture: To define the technical vision and standards of the platform by selecting the most appropriate technologies and tools to optimize system performance and costs
- Implementing automation processes (CI/CD): To develop and maintain automated software delivery and deployment pipelines, reducing manual effort and accelerating the release of new features into production
- Monitoring and incident resolution: To set up comprehensive system monitoring and auditing tools, as well as to promptly resolve complex platform-level technical incidents and performance bottlenecks
- Support and collaboration with development teams: To consult and provide developers with self-service tools and environments, fostering a "Platform as a Service" (PaaS) culture within the organization
- Service development and AI solution deployment support: To independently develop internal platform services and provide the necessary infrastructure, tools, and computing resources (such as GPU clusters) to enable development teams to efficiently integrate and scale Artificial Intelligence (AI) and machine learning models.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- A minimum of 3–5 years of hands-on experience in cloud infrastructure architecture design and platform engineering is required, preferably working with large-scale and high-availability systems
- Proficiency in modern DevOps practices, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools, as well as containerization and orchestration technologies (such as Kubernetes and Docker) is essential
- Advanced understanding of operating system administration (especially Linux), networking protocols, security standards, and automation scripting languages (such as Python or Bash) is required
- Proficiency in Latvian and English (oral and written)
- A recognized professional certification in cloud technologies (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Google Cloud Professional, or Azure Architect) or related methodologies is highly desirable
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, the ability to work in a team, and the capacity to clearly communicate complex technical solutions to both developers and business management are required.
