Job Description

We are looking for a colleague who would join our Ignitis Renewables team and support the OSS package in coordinating and overseeing the engineering activities related to the design, construction, and commissioning of the offshore substation for an offshore wind project in the Lithuanian Baltic Sea. You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:

  • Coordinating and overseeing all engineering activities and design certification related to offshore substation projects
  • Leading and managing a multidisciplinary engineering team, including electrical, civil/structural, mechanical, and other relevant disciplines
  • Reviewing and approving engineering designs, calculations, drawings, and technical documentation prepared by internal and external engineering teams
  • Facilitating communication and collaboration between engineering teams and other stakeholders
  • Offering technical advice to solve engineering issues during the project and participating in technical reviews and risk assessments to improve project outcomes
  • Creating and managing engineering schedules, resource plans, and budgets in coordination with project management
  • Keeping accurate records of engineering activities and preparing progress reports to project management and stakeholders.  

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Extensive experience in engineering coordination or management roles, preferably in the renewable energy or offshore construction industry
  • Strong technical expertise in electrical, civil/structural, or mechanical engineering disciplines relevant to offshore substations
  • Knowledge of relevant industry standards, codes, and regulations governing offshore construction and renewable energy projects
  • Proficiency in project management tools and software for scheduling, budgeting, and documentation
  • Very good understanding of the technical and organizational processes for large infrastructure projects
  • Experience in working with multi-disciplinary and intercultural project teams
  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English language.
