Job Description

We are currently looking for a new colleague to join the Environmental and Permitting Office of the Ignitis Renewables team, where you’ll be taking care of onshore environment and permitting activities in Poland. If that speaks to you, we’d be happy to welcome you to our team!

You will contribute to green and secure energy ecosystem creation by:

  • Managing the process, parties involved and related issues: environmental impact assessments, territory planning, monitoring and other related to development and operation of the renewable energy projects
  • Keeping close communication with the development, construction, operations and engineering teams to create an environmental permitting and operation strategy which ensures all current and future projects adhere to environment legislation in Polish market
  • Collaborating with local authorities and communities to ensure that developed objects fulfill the required permitting processes successfully
  • Serving as the primary point of contact both internally and externally in relation to environment
  • Translating complex problems into easily understandable tasks and tangible actions
  • Delivering specialist training and development across the business which meets Company vision and helps drive a culture of behavioral change
  • Liaising with the appropriate statutory bodies on behalf of the Company and its customers to ensure that regulatory requirements are met. 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in environmental management sciences, engineering, or a relevant field
  • 3+ years of experience in related responsibilities
  • In-depth knowledge of Polish environmental regulatory requirements
  • Experience in site-based audits, preparation of Environmental Impact Assessment documentation, or other environmental documents
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with advanced conflict resolution abilities
  • Ability to take a strategic view of environmental sustainability requirements for the business
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
  • Proficiency in English and Polish.

Would be an advantage:

  • Experience in the renewable energy sector.
