The ITW StampTech Fasteners™ Division supplies stamped metal fasteners and engineered fastener assemblies to the major OEMs and Tier suppliers in the North American automotive market. Job Description
The Division Sales Director—NASF will report to the VP/GM and will be responsible for sales activities in assigned market(s). As a member of the division leadership team, this individual will also be responsible for working collaboratively with the team to deliver and support our business goals for 80/20 excellence, zero safety incidents and an inclusive and diverse workplace that support our ITW values of Integrity, Respect, Trust, Shared Risk, and Simplicity.
The Sales Director will report to the VPGM and be responsible for developing and performing all sales activities in the assigned OEM market(s).
- Establishes the direction, performance goals, plan, and vision to align the Sales team's resources to ensure growth and penetration with current “80” launches and incremental opportunities.
- Develop and align the short-term and long-term growth strategies with the Sales Managers across the D3, JOEM, and EV OEMs.
- Responsible for developing and being accountable for the Annual Plan (AP) and Long-Range Plan (LRP), ensuring alignment with organizational goals and driving strategic initiatives to achieve organic growth.
- Drives an Enterprise-first, global mindset when collaborating with other ITW fastener divisions in different regions.
- Ensures team members understand and follow the ITW Automotive Segment Sales Process.
- Leverage local market knowledge to focus on growing products and introducing new ones, applying an " outside-in” discipline.
- Nurtures customer relationships that provide insight and a landscape where ITW has a competitive advantage through our “cradle to grave” relationships.
- Carry out comprehensive market research aligned with the strategic growth priorities to understand the market niche, growth opportunities, and differentiation from competition.
- Maintains a continuing analysis of reports such as sales reports, sales expenses, new and lost business, etc., to detect undesirable trends and take prompt remedial action.
- Apply ITW innovation strategies utilizing the ITW Toolbox and strategic intent lens.
- Champions the ITW Leadership Development framework, developing talent within the business.
- Identifies and develops key leaders for future roles.
- Demonstrates personal effectiveness and leadership that creates a culture of high performance.
- Nurtures an environment consistent with the ITW values and culture.
Qualifications

- Bachelor’s degree from a four-year university or equivalent ITW experience.
- At least 10 years’ experience in the automotive industry, with metal manufacturing experience a plus.
- At least 3 years’ experience in a sales management role
- Ability to develop budgets and sales forecasts to formulate a business plan. Ability to develop the growth strategy to drive the Annual and Long Range Plan.
- Personally driven to motivate others to excel, including providing robust goals, challenging stretch assignments, and experiences aligned with Employee Development plans.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills with the ability and willingness to communicate and work collaboratively with other regions.
- Proven ability to generate respect and trust from staff and external customers/contacts, including working collaboratively with colleagues and staff to create a results-driven, team-oriented environment.
- Willing to travel up to 25% domestically and occasionally internationally.
- Future growth and advancement opportunities within ITW may require a willingness to relocate.
