This on-site, office-based position, located in Troy, OH., is responsible for customer focused, action oriented, day-to-day professional HR support and policy administration relating to all phases of the employee life cycle (e.g., hiring, training, employee relations). Provides technical expertise, reporting & analytical support and may be responsible for Legal compliance / Employment Law (e.g., annual Affirmative Action Plan). This is an entry level professional, front line advisory HR position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The major responsibilities of this role include:

  • Policy and Guideline Management:
    • Creating, updating, and applying HR policies and company guidelines to ensure compliance with standards and laws set by authorities.
    • Drafting templates for HR documents.
    • Overseeing the hiring and onboarding process for new employees.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding:
    • Support the recruitment plan based on operational and sales projections.
    • Generating official internal documents such as offer letters, compensation analysis, and warning letters.
    • Educating newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations during onboarding.
  • Data Analytics and Trending Analysis:
    • Merge employee data from multiple systems to identify trends related to attracting, developing, engaging, and retaining talent.
    • Create and maintain weekly, monthly, and quarterly workforce metrics and analysis and develop processes to streamline the compilation of reporting/analysis to drive data-driven decisions.
  • Record Keeping and Employee Engagement:
    • Maintaining both physical and digital files for employees, including documents, benefits, and attendance records.
    • Creating employee engagement plans, securing necessary budget approvals, and initiating relevant activities.
  • Collaboration/Standards:
    • Collaborating with external vendors, upper management, and employees to maintain business shared responsibility regarding Employee resource groups and Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging.
  • Performance Evaluation and Disciplinary Action:
    • Evaluating employee performance and adjusting pay scales accordingly.
    • Taking appropriate disciplinary action against employees who violate rules and regulations.
    • Addressing employee related issues.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • At least one year of human resource related experience preferred.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a wide audience range.
  • MS Office application proficiency to drive efficiency, productivity, and accuracy.

Desired Education/Experience

  • Multi state Service or Technical experience a plus

Certificates and Licenses

  • SHRM-CP a plus.
