Hobart is part of the ITW Food Equipment Group, an Illinois Tool Works Fortune 200 company, and is a recognized leader among commercial food equipment worldwide. The Hobart Food Machines division is located in Troy, Ohio, and is seeking an Electrical Engineering Intern. This position will provide electrical engineering support for ongoing innovation projects on planetary mixers and meat slicers.

Job Description

  • Troubleshoot AC and DC circuits.
  • Work with Variable frequency drives.
  • Create and/or modify electrical schematics.
  • Learn about various electrical and electronics equipment.
  • Work with prototype electronics using Raspberry Pi, Arduino or similar.
  • Intern will work with cross functional internal team members including engineers, technicians, and machine operators.

Qualifications

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related Engineering field.
  • Must be classified as a Junior or Senior school year 2023-2024.
  • Able to commute to our facility in the Troy, Ohio area for the duration of the internship experience.

Additional Information

  • You will work in a team-oriented office and laboratory environment.
  • PPE required: Steel toe shoes and eye protection in manufacturing setting.
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, bend, or stoop and use hands, arms and walk frequently. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
