Job Description

Position Summary:

The Talent Acquisition Specialist provides world class recruiting support to the full life cycle of the Residential & Renovation Division’s hiring process; The full life cycle of the hiring process includes, but is not limited to, posting of positions, identifying, and attracting qualified and diverse candidates, interviewing and selection, pre-employment processes, building our employer value proposition and ensuring compliance with legal requirements and staffing guidelines.  The Talent Acquisition Specialist is a new position we are adding due to growth, this position will report to the HR Director of the Division. 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Lead full-cycle recruiting for all functional areas of Residential & Renovation Construction; includes all exempt and non-exempt positions.  
  • Lead all staffing metrics (KPIs) related to the life cycle of requisitions.
  • Proactively research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting, and develop a pool of qualified candidates, in advance of need, by building and maintaining relationships with potential candidates
  • Source and recruit candidates for current and future requisitions via various methods, including but not limited to: social media, professional networking associations and events, industry contacts, job boards, job fairs, employee/manager referrals, alumni/former employees
  • Develop and implement strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse talent for a multi-site organization.
  • Maintain an on-going relationship & communication with HR & Management to provide continuous feedback, including suggestions and recommendations for sourcing/hiribng.
  • Lead staffing calls and provide frequent status updates on open positions.
  • Utilizes various media, including online employment websites, trade publications, referrals, and university job boards to source candidates.
  • Define and drive an action plan to make progress with positioning the division as an employer of choice in our employment markets. Create a consistent employer value proposition in the market. 
  • Able to prioritize competing demands, using 80/20 principles and meet deadlines for both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure OFCCP and FLSA compliance by following recruitment processes, rules, and regulations to include proper documentation and dispositioning of candidates; maintain accurate and well-organized documentation on all candidates
  • Other tasks and duties as assigned.

  • Experience developing and delivering staffing plans that meet business growth needs
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Office, specifically Outlook and Excel, and applicant tracking systems (ATS)
  • Proven ability to partner successfully with cross-functional leaders to steer the hiring process and drive employer branding
  • Demonstrated ability to assess, build and strengthen processes, towards improving effectiveness and impact.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, presentation  and negotiation skills
  • Comfortable using a variety of social media platforms and able to work with several digital footprints; Linked In and other assigned tools
  • Drive for result, coupled with a continuous improvement mindset
  • Can work independently and also drive collaboration as needed
  • Flexibility to deal with changing priorities and balance multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational skills to help prioritize and plan
  • Proactive problem-solver capable of identifying issues and generating solutions with a can-do, positive attitude
  • A critical thinking and analytical approach when weighing options.
  • Ability to travel as needed for recruitment initiatives and events (upto 25%)

Additional Information

Most time will be spent in an office environment. Position may require some travel.
