Position Overview:

The HR Coordinator provides support to the Human Resources Generalist & Human Resources Manager in the day-to-day administrative areas of human resources including payroll administration, new hire on-boarding, record keeping, performance management, employee engagement, recruitment, safety and general office activities. The HR Coordinator role is a hands-on and a collaborative role that requires great attention to detail and high level of confidentiality.

 Essential Job Functions:

·         Manage the bi-weekly payroll and time keeping for the US employees through Ceridian Dayforce and Time Clock Plus. Follow up on and resolve payroll discrepancies. Compile, edit, and balance business unit input - including hours, earnings, employee data, and manual adjustments - required for payroll processing.  Act as the payroll liaison for division and corporate payroll team.

·         Provides coaching and support to Team Managers in solving employee relations issues, such as policy violations, attendance concerns, and performance issues.

·         Lead recruitment. Post open positions, review resumes, conduct initial phone screenings, schedule meetings and interviews as well as facilitate all other related recruitment activities to ensure a smooth interview process for all candidates and applicants.

·         Lead all new hire pre-boarding and on-boarding activities. Create welcome letters, schedule trainings, assign hiring manager tasks, conduct new employee orientations, manage all new hire paperwork, enrollment deadlines as well as complete and verify I-9 documentation.

·         Maintain employee HR files in an organized, secure and confidential manner. This includes entries and changes to the Workday HRIS system, and other employee record management systems.

·         Answer routine employee questions and inquiries related to wellness, benefits, payroll, policies, leaves and other HR related inquiries.

·         Maintain and support organizational Health & Safety activities as they relate to employee training, safety guidelines and procedures.

·         Keep employee bulletin and announcement boards current, post memos and employee events, loss prevention materials, etc.

·         Participate and/or lead HR improvement projects and initiatives such as employee engagement, wellness, community involvement and performance management. 

·         Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions. Ensure policies, procedures and reporting are in compliance.

·         Leads wellness events, employee events, recognition programs, awards, activities, etc. for the division.

Qualifications Requirements:

·         Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or similar field of study required.

·         2 – 3 years of relevant experience.

·         Ability to deal with multiple tasks effectively and establish priorities.

·         Strong attention to detail, follow through and problem solving.

·         Demonstrated strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate with all levels across the organization.

·         Ability to use good judgement and discretion with high confidential employee and business information.

·         Working understanding of human resource principles, practices and procedures.

·         Knowledge of federal, multi-state and local employment laws.

·         Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

·         Ability to lift 15-25 lbs. occasionally.

Desirable:

·         Experience with Workday HRIS, ADP and/or Ceridian Dayforce.

·         Experience in a manufacturing setting.

·         Accounting experience a plus.
