Job Description

Position:                                 Electrical Assembler I-III

Department:                          Assembly

Position Reports To:             Assembly Supervisor 

           

Position Purpose: 

Performs assembly of electrical control systems and integration into proprietary original equipment manufactured at Camdenton location (Wave Solder, Reflow Soldering, Selective Soldering and Cleaning product lines.)  Performs power up electrical skills and troubleshooting of electrical control systems on equipment being assembled. Performs electrical connections for high voltage and control components in assembly cell.  Performs some complex mechanical assembly for assembly cell. Works in a team environment. Works in an assemble to order production area.   High variability of systems built and no automated production line assemblies.   All work is job based and built to customer requirements.   

 

Education /Experience Required:

High School Diploma or GED required, prior vocational training preferred.  Electrical certifications required. Demonstrated knowledge of complex Mechanical and Electronic systems.  Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.

 

Skills Required:

Ability to read and work from written assembly drawings, schematics, diagrams, and bills of materials

Complete assemblies within the standard time and to defined quality levels.

Complex mechanical and electrical techniques

Ability to use basic electrical test equipment

Interconnect panel devices according to provided electrical schematics

Route and bundle wires and cables neatly and according to established electrical standards

Fundamental wiring skills, terminations, connections, and labeling

Working knowledge of 24 to 480 Volt electrical circuits

Understanding of 60 Hz and 50 Hz electrical concepts

Ability to connect IO control circuits and perform troubleshooting on them

Ability to operate pneumatic hand and bench power tools

Understanding of torque requirements on hand tools

Read and understand standard and metric tapes and measuring devices.

PC skills including a “Windows” type operating environment.

Inspection of incoming work content and ability to test assemblies and perform verification and quality checks

Troubleshooting skills

Strong communication skills

Attention to detail

Understanding of inventory control methods and willingness to take responsibility for inventory

Willingness and ability to receive training and to train co-workers

Provide work area maintenance and housekeeping

 

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions:

Light to average lifting – ability to lift and carry 40 pounds up to 20 feet

Work cell environment

Sitting 30% - Standing and walking 70%
