ITQ is assisting a confidential client to identify a BI Architect for a dynamic consulting team. 

Job Description

  • Coordinates technical, data, ETL, and BI activities
  • Design of the data and technical architecture for the data warehouse
  • Development of logical and physical data models, ETL scripts, metadata definitions and models, queries and reports, schedules, work processes, and maintenance procedures
  • Ensures proper backup and recovery processes
  • Supervises selection of hardware, storage, and software products
  • Have experience in the Healthcare industry

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or other related field is required.  Three or more years’ equivalent applied knowledge in an information systems environment, particularly in specific areas such as business intelligence or enterprise data warehousing may be considered in lieu of educational requirements.
  2. Minimum three years of experience in solution architecture as it relates to data warehousing and BI. Experience must include SQL, ETL, OLAP, building data warehouses (including experience with data modeling, database administration, and performance tuning), metadata management, and use-case analysis.
  3. Experience with Epic/Clarity desirable
  4. Experience with Qlikview desirable
  5. Understanding/Experience with BI concepts and development methodologies (e.g. Agile)
  6. Extensive understanding of computer systems including hardware, operating systems, programming languages, and data communications.
  7. Demonstrated experience in a sophisticated multiple vendor information systems environment.
  8. Demonstrated understanding of business processes and system interdependencies.
  9. Demonstrated conceptual and analytical skills as well as the ability to balance theory and practical reality.
  10. Demonstrated problem solving skills and ability to consistently exercise sound judgment and initiative in all circumstances, including very stressful situations. Must be able to effectively manage competing priorities.
  11. Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication in performing assigned duties.
  12. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff both in and outside of IT essential as well as demonstrated experience in dealing with and managing proper escalation of critical service calls with vendor support to ensure timely and appropriate resolution to system issues.
  13. Demonstrated skills in developing and maintaining good interpersonal relationships.
  14. Demonstrated skills in leadership, organization, and team building.
  15. Demonstrated dedication to a positive attitude, strong customer service support and commitment to the achievement of Memorial’s strategic goals is essential.
  16. Demonstrated ability to achieve results and inspire others to do the same is essential.  Personal accountability for results is essential to success in this position as well as dedication to continue learning and investigation of relevant technology improvements is imperative.
