Job Description
We are looking for a resourceful Procurement Manager to oversee our procurement activities related to agro-allied products. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing procurement strategies, sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, and managing supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services. This role requires strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, data gathering skills, and a deep understanding of the agro-allied industry.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's goals and objectives.
- Source and evaluate suppliers based on quality, price, and reliability.
- Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers to ensure favorable pricing and terms.
- Manage supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and service level agreements.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including production, logistics, and quality assurance teams, to ensure seamless procurement processes.
- Analyze market trends and supply chain dynamics to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Monitor inventory levels and optimize inventory management processes to minimize stockouts and excess inventory.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies and procedures.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the agro-allied industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and experience with procurement software.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
