Job Description

ISAAC is growing fast and to support this growth, we seek an IT System Administrator. In this role you will be helping to upgrade, maintain and manage our software, hardware, network, Cloud infrastructure as well as provide daily operational support to the ISAAC end-user community.

This job is for you if you are patient, resourceful and experienced, with the ability to work independently, troubleshoot and resolve problems quickly. You also communicate effectively with a variety of interdisciplinary teams and users.

Your goal will be to ensure that our technology infrastructure runs smoothly, efficiently, and securely.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the IT support effort and ensure all desktop applications, workstations, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner to limit disruptions
  • Maintain, support and monitor the company’s existing IT infrastructure & VOIP system
  • Responsible for the IT server room, video conference technology & operations, UPS etc.
  • Administer and support Microsoft Azure, O365, Windows Servers, Active Directory & internal business applications
  • Own the IT onboarding & offboarding process:
    • Provisioning and deprovisioning of hardware (laptops, desktops, mobile phones etc.)
    • Make sure relevant documentation is kept up to date
  • Automate tasks by utilizing script-like PowerShell for repetitive tasks
  • Contribute to IT DR planning by creating and maintaining relevant documentation
  • Manage network security, review security and audit logs, system patching, VPN, Antivirus, firewall and related network devices
  • Take personal ownership of task completion and delivering to required timescales
  • Create & update documentation of knowledge base, standard processes and procedures
  • Liaise with third-party suppliers engaged to deliver services to ISAAC
  • Work evening & weekends occasionally, when required

Qualifications

  • College or university degree in a related field (includes computer networking, technical support) and/or 3-5 years of related work experience
  • MCP, MCSE, CompTIA & CCNA certified
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices
  • Advanced knowledge of Azure & Office 365 related Services
    • Azure Active Directory
    • Exchange Online
    • Sharepoint / Teams
  • Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory, Windows Server OS
  • Strong knowledge of PowerShell scripting and automation
  • Strong knowledge of Networking
  • Strong knowledge of VMWare
  • Knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Administration and Maintenance
  • Fluently spoken English and French
