Job Description
What you’ll do
The candidate will provide operational middle and back-office support including daily fund operations,
trade settlement and business-related needs. The candidate will have opportunities to both learn and
expand their knowledge of the operations workflow for hedge funds across different strategies, managed
accounts and long only funds. This candidate reports to the Head of Operations – Public Markets.
The position would ideally suit a candidate who has 1-3 years’ experience in a small to mid-sized hedge
fund and is seeking to move to the next level in their career.
The candidate is expected to have both experience and expertise in most of the following key duties in
relation to funds and or managed accounts:
- You'll manage fund and managed account launches, oversee daily operations, perform trade reconciliations, and calculate internal daily NAV estimates.
- You'll collaborate with key service providers, including Prime Brokers, Custodians, Trustees, Executing Brokers, and Fund Administrators, to support fund operations and client requirements.
- You'll monitor and execute monthly or intra-month hedging activities while ensuring compliance through KYC and AML checks.
- You'll assist auditors with the preparation of annual financial statements and support accurate financial reporting and regulatory requirements.
- You'll prepare investor newsletters, marketing materials, and other project-related deliverables while contributing to ad hoc initiatives and short-term projects.

Qualifications
About you
Requirements
- You have 1-3 years of experience in hedge funds, asset management, or fund administration, supported by relevant studies in accounting, finance, statistics, business, or a related field.
- You possess strong analytical skills, are detail-oriented and highly organized, and can effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- You are proficient in MS Office applications, particularly Excel, with VBA knowledge considered an advantage.
- You are a self-starter who learns independently, demonstrates a strong work ethic, and maintains professional working habits.
- You work effectively as part of a small team, have experience in trade execution (preferred), and are willing to work Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM, in accordance with the Japanese calendar.
