Job Description

As a Manager, Financial Reporting, you'll serve as the primary client relationship lead, overseeing the delivery of high-quality financial reporting services while ensuring compliance, stakeholder satisfaction, and continuous process improvement.

What you'll do

  • You'll lead and manage client relationships while overseeing delivery teams, ensuring deadlines are met, client and auditor expectations are managed, and issues identified during reviews are escalated to Directors in a timely manner
  • You'll coach and support junior staff, foster a collaborative team environment, manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, and drive high-quality service delivery
  • You'll perform technical reviews of Annual Financial Statements (AFS), ensuring compliance with applicable reporting frameworks and applying strong knowledge of IFRS, US GAAP, fund accounting, fund structures, VAT, payroll, and related accounting practices
  • You'll communicate effectively with clients, auditors, Directors, and internal teams, delivering financial information, addressing technical queries, resolving audit comments, and providing clear, timely reporting
  • You'll proactively identify opportunities to add value by researching solutions, improving clients’ systems and processes, enhancing financial management practices, taking ownership of requests, and maintaining a customer-focused, action-oriented, and detail-focused approach

Qualifications

  • You hold a CA (SA) qualification with at least 2 years of post-articles experience in a managerial role or 3 years of post-articles experience if transitioning into a management position
  • You demonstrate strong technical expertise in IFRS and US GAAP, particularly within the investment funds industry
  • You possess broad knowledge of IFRS standards across multiple jurisdictions, enabling accurate and compliant financial reporting
  • You apply sound accounting judgment and financial reporting knowledge to review, analyze, and resolve complex technical accounting matters
  • You combine professional qualification, relevant post-articles experience, and strong technical accounting skills to effectively manage client engagements and financial reporting requirements
