Job Description

THE ROLE

Every day brings new challenges, so you’ll need to be a team player with great organisational skills, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise your workload to meet deadlines. Your primary responsibility will be to support and manage the day-to-day accounting and client relationship needs for private equity, real estate, credit or debt fund clients. You’ll work within a supportive team, take ownership of your tasks, and play a key role in ensuring the smooth delivery of client services

WHAT YOU WILL DO 

  • You take day-to-day responsibility for designated private equity or real estate clients, supporting fund operations and accounting requirements
  • You review quarterly and annual financial statements and reports, ensuring they meet UK GAAP or IFRS requirements in line with fund reporting standards
  • You review investor drawdowns and distribution calculations, ensuring accuracy and proper allocation of commitments, proceeds and payments
  • You ensure accurate communication of cash movements between funds and investors through timely and correct notices
  • You oversee client deliverables, manage timetables, track progress and contribute to regular client calls to maintain open communication
  • You gain a strong understanding of each client’s accounting framework and contribute ideas to improve processes, increase efficiency and reduce risk

Qualifications

ABOUT YOU 

  • You have a higher-level education, IATI qualification or equivalent
  • You are an ACCA candidate (passed 5+ exams or hold 5+ exemptions with 2 years’ accounting experience) or an ACA candidate (passed CAP1 or hold exemptions with 2 years’ accounting experience)
  • You ideally have experience reviewing working papers and financial statements, or demonstrate a strong accounting background through experience and CPD
  • You bring experience in managing client relationships and resolving issues directly with clients
  • You are confident with Excel at an intermediate level
  • You are detail-oriented, proactive and motivated to grow within fund accounting and client management
