We are looking for an experienced VMware Infrastructure Engineer to join our dynamic team and help design, deploy, and manage our cutting-edge software-defined data center. As a key member of our team, you will ensure the performance, security, and scalability of our virtual environments, working with advanced VMware technologies and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams. This is a critical role that directly impacts the reliability and success of our infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage VMware vSphere environments, including ESXi hosts, vCenter Server, and virtual machines (VMs).
• Ensure optimal performance, scalability, and availability of virtualized resources.
• Configure and manage VMware clusters, resource pools, and virtual networking.
• Implement and maintain robust backup and restoration processes for VMs using tools like Veeam or Commvault.
• Apply and enforce security policies and patches across the virtualized infrastructure.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with network, storage, and application teams to ensure seamless integration and support of virtualized environments.
• Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority (P1) issues, participate in Bridge calls, and coordinate with various teams during major outages.
• Create and maintain detailed documentation of the VMware environment, processes, and best practices.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 4-5 years of experience with VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) and related VMware products.
• Proficiency in configuring and managing virtual networking (vSwitches, Distributed Switches) and storage (vSAN, NFS, iSCSI).
• Strong understanding of server hardware and compatibility with VMware environments.
• Experience with VMware High Availability (HA), Distributed Resource Scheduler (DRS).
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as PowerCLI, PowerShell, or similar for automation.
• Familiarity with vRealize Suite (vRealize Automation, vRealize Operations).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and documentation abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

• VMware certifications (e.g., VMware Certified Professional - VCP).
• Experience with hybrid or multi-cloud environments, including VMware Cloud on AWS, Azure VMware Solution.
• Knowledge of storage solutions (SAN/NAS) and backup technologies like Veeam or Commvault.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies like Kubernetes.
• This role requires working in NAM shift hours.
• ITIL Foundation certification.
