Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Fully accessible to the business;
  • Be visible and proactively promote FCP, highlighting the importance of the AML/CFT control framework within the business;
  • Assisting with the PEP control framework;
  • Management of daily client screening undertaken in Risk & Compliance (Sanctions and PEPs);
  • Conducting financial crime investigations with recommendations to the MLRO;
  • Assist the MLRO in identifying trends within the business, with the objective being to continuously monitor and recommend enhancements to the control framework;
  • Assisting with enquiries received from relevant external authorities responsible for the Isle of Man’s AML/CFT control framework and liaising with the business to ensure timely provision;
  • Provision of advice and guidance to the business in respect of financial crime matters; and
  • Ensuring that clear and accurate records are maintained within the function.
  • Contributing towards financial crime prevention training materials and delivery.

Tasks:

  • Demonstrate a positive culture which supports the Group Values and ensure engagement and commitment to deliver an excellent financial crime prevention advisory service, operational effectiveness and efficiencies;
  • Actively support the Risk & Compliance function initiatives;
  • Helps to build and maintain effective relationships between the three lines of defence;
  • Identify training needs of the first line and encourage self-development to meet the needs of the business now and in the future, promoting an environment of shared knowledge and learning in order to deliver superior client service in an efficient and compliance manner;
  • Continue and maintain relevant technical knowledge, ensuring CPD requirements are met;
  • Assist with the delivery of effective and timely communication with internal colleagues and local CSD’s on any relevant FCP matters;
  • Ensure compliance with applicable laws, service standards, company policies and procedures and agreed operational and control processes;
  • Using your own judgement to bring to the attention of management any issues which you feel appropriate, in particular ensuring that concerns and identified risks are reported in a timely and effective manner;
  • Ensure adherence to the Company's policies and procedures, both on a group and local basis.

Qualifications

  • Holds a recognised professional qualification in relation to AML/CFT.
  • Good understanding of the regulatory requirements in respect of the AML/CFT control framework;
  • Good understanding of industry best practice in relation to Trust and Company administration;
  • Attention to detail and accuracy;
  • Good numeracy and analytical skills;
  • Ability to understand Trust, Fund and company legal documents and structures;
  • Good IT knowledge and proficiency with relevant IT applications;
  • Works collaboratively with peers and colleagues;
  • Resilient and able to work under pressure and within tight deadlines;
  • Risk aware and demonstrates high levels of integrity, equality and diversity in their approach to work;
  • Ability to demonstrate effective communication and relationship skills;
  • Able to support colleagues through periods of change;
