Job Description

The position is responsible for implementing employee engagement programs and provide advice, counsel and resolution on a broad range of employee issues, policy interpretation, work conditions and employee development.

Key Responsibilities:

Business Partnership:

  • Understands Human Resources processes and philosophies in his/her capacity to assist and support stakeholders.
  • Provides appropriate and prompt feedback and resolution to employee concerns.
  • Build strong business relationships with stakeholders.
  • Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with stakeholders to develop solutions, programs and policies.

Employee Relations:

  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks, and ensuring regulatory compliance in partnership with the Corporate Legal Officer.
  • Manages and resolves end to end of both basic and complex employee relations issues by conducting effective, thorough and objective investigations.
  • Conducts learning sessions to stake holders to ensure knowledge and compliance of the implementing guidelines of the company policies and to adequately address labor-related HR issues in both corrective and preventive manner.
  • Handles employee concerns and labor issues.
  • Deals with employee grievances and implements disciplinary procedures.
  • Drafts notices such as notice to explain, notice of decision and termination letters in compliance to due process.
  • Conducts administrative hearing and records the minutes of the meeting.
  • Provides advice to the line managers in interpreting HR policies and employment laws.

Employee Engagement:

  • Collaborates, plans and implements employee engagement programs to promote a positive working environment.
  • Initiate and drive company-wide activities including but not limiting to – rewards and recognition in partnership with the appropriate departments.
  • Monitors budget compliance versus actual cost for each engagement activity
  • Conducts engagement survey and/or focus group discussions to measure the effectiveness of each activity.
  • Analyses the results of the survey, reports and if applicable, recommend actions items to the appropriate stakeholder/s.
  • Conducts Induction Training for new hires.
  • Administer onboarding feedback to all new hires.
  • Coordinates with the Marketing and Communications team in all aspects of announcements and postings.
  • Monitors all submitted employee resignations and notify Payroll for salary to be hold.
  • Schedules and conducts exit interviews.
  • Routes employee exit clearances.

Performance Management:

  • Monitors employee 3rd and 5th month performance evaluation
  • Prepares letter to confirm employee regularization.
  • Reviews performance evaluations submitted by the line managers.
  • Conducts, recommends, and fulfills probationary and annual performance review for employees.

Reports:

  •  Ensures timely submission of monthly headcount, attrition and demographics reports
  •  Prepares and submits monthly Labor Situationer Monitoring Report to DOLE and PEZA
  •  Files IT starter and IT leaver ticket for new hires and resigned employees.
  •  Prepares and presents HR reports such as but not limited to Attrtition, Retention, FGD’s, etc.

Others:

  • Participates in the development, updating and dissemination of HR policies
  • Contributes to process improvement initiatives.

Vendor Management:

  • Monitors and tracks contracts agreement
  • Ensures timely payment of billings in compliance to Finance guidelines and policies.
  • Evaluates vendors’ performance on a quarterly basis.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources / Psychology / Behavioral Science course, Human Resources Managment or other related disciplines
  • At least 3-5yrs working experience handling employee engagement and employee relations
  • Knowledgeable in DOLE employment laws
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Can do attitude, ability to cope with tight deadlines and working under pressure
  • Detail oriented
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Exhibits sound work ethics
  • Advance skills in MS Excel
  • Proficient in MS Word and PowerPoint
