IQEQ is a preeminent service provider to the alternative asset industry. IQEQ works with managers in multiple capacities ranging from hedge fund, private equity fund, and mutual fund launches; private equity fund administration; advisory firm set-up, regulatory registration and infrastructure design; ongoing regulatory compliance (SEC, CFTC, and 40 Act); financial controls and operational support services; compliance and operational related projects and reviews; and outsourced CFO/controller and administration services to private equity fund investments – portfolio companies, real estate assets and energy assets.  Our client base is growing and our existing clients are engaging the firm across the spectrum of our services offerings.  

Our firm is offering a paid student internship on a part-time basis through the summer, possibly extending offer for each academic semester. Gain hands-on experience in accounting and tax by developing technical skills through working as part of a team carrying out tasks under close supervision.
Responsibilities:

•  Assist with month-end financial reports
•  Post cash activity and data entry
•  Prepare journal entries for GAAP and tax basis entities
•  Help with balance sheet reconciliations, including bank statement reconciliation, supporting schedules and workpapers
•  Support payment processing team
•  Preparation of corporate, partnership and trust tax returns
•  Assembling and organizing clients’ information

• Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs required.
• Position will require a minimum 15 hours and a maximum of 30 hours per week.
• Junior or Senior level of accounting
• Minimum 3.2 GPA
