Job Description
Our firm is offering a paid student internship on a part-time basis through the summer, possibly extending offer for each academic semester. Gain hands-on experience in accounting and tax by developing technical skills through working as part of a team carrying out tasks under close supervision.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with month-end financial reports
- Post cash activity and data entry
- Prepare journal entries for GAAP and tax basis entities
- Help with balance sheet reconciliations, including bank statement reconciliation, supporting schedules and workpapers
- Support payment processing team
- Preparation of corporate, partnership and trust tax returns
- Assembling and organizing clients’ information
Qualifications
- Attention to detail, the ability to multi-task and strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel programs required.
- Position will require a minimum 15 hours and a maximum of 30 hours per week.
- Junior or Senior level of accounting
- Minimum 3.2 GPA
