The global company develops and delivers solutions for power generation, transmission and energy transition, including gas and steam turbines, grid technologies, transformers, HVDC systems and renewable energy solutions. The company operates worldwide across the energy sector.

The aim is to extend and upgrade five existing high-voltage (HV) electrical substations as a turnkey project. This technical service will be carried out in Nigeria. This location could be changed according to the progress of the work and the project needs.

Main Goals

• Represent Company Energy for installation, testing and commissioning of 330 MVA, 165 MVA and 60 MVA power transformers.
• Ensure safe and compliant installation, testing and commissioning of power transformers.
• Support Ready for Commissioning (RFC) and Energization.
• Coordinate installation and commissioning interfaces with HV, P&C and Customer teams.
• Deliver reliable and fully documented commissioned power transformers.

Deliverables:

• Review transformer installation, testing and commissioning procedures, drawings and vendor documentation.
• Supervise transformer receipt inspections and verify installation readiness.
• Supervise transformer positioning and assembly of bushings, radiators, OLTC and accessories, including vacuum filling and oil filtration, in accordance with OEM instructions.
• Supervise transformers turns ratio, winding resistance, vector group and OLTC tests using the OMICRON TESTRANO 600 or an equivalent from OMICRON.
• Supervise capacitance/tan delta tests using OMICRON CPC 100 with CP TD1, and SFRA tests using OMICRON FRANEO 800, where required.
• Verify insulation resistance, oil quality/DGA results, cooling systems, OLTC functions, alarms, protection and SCADA interfaces.
• Record test results and prepare commissioning reports and checklists.
• Support SAT, customer inspections and energization activities.
• Identify defects, manage punch lists and support corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with Company’s Energy HSE, QA/QC and commissioning procedures.
• Support final handover documentation and as-built records.
• Approved installation, testing and commissioning procedures.
• Engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Project specifications and contractual documentation.

• Minimum 7 years of experience in power transformer installation, testing and commissioning.
• Experience with 330 MVA, 165 MVA and 60 MVA power transformers, including oil handling and OLTC.
• Proven ability to operate OMICRON TESTRANO 600, with knowledge of CPC 100 with CP TD1 and FRANEO 800.
• Knowledge of IEC 60076 and OEM procedures; relevant OEM training certificates mandatory.
• English preferred.
