Company Description
- The Kaminho Project developed by TotalEnergies E&P Angola, aims at producing close to 400 Mboe of 2P resources located deep offshore in Angola Block 20/11, a new petroleum province (Kwanza basin).
The project budget, sanctioned by COMEX in May 2024 is 10 G$ (CAPEX 6 G$, OPEX 4 G$, 100%). The 4-year project execution is spread worldwide in several engineering centers, workshops, fabrication yards and up to the installation and start-up in Angola. The First Oil of Phase 1 (Cameia) is due by mid-2028. The First Oil of Phase 2 (Golfinho) is due by beginning 2031.

Job Description
- The Job holder is responsible for all pipelines, flowlines and associated structures (incl. rigid spools and jumpers) design activities for SURF package
- The main tasks of the job holder are:
- Review all pipeline engineering documents from SURF CONTRACTOR and be technical referent for all related topics
- Interface as required with other packages (SURF, FPSO, FOPS) specialists to ensure smooth project execution.
HSE:
- Promote safety culture within the project and his/her activities. Lead by example to have the team members and colleagues adhering and contributing.
- Ensure that safe and ethic working practices are carried out within the activities that he/she is managing or interfacing with. To guarantee the compliance on his/her activities.
- Comply with the HSE training required for his position
- Adopt and demonstrate an exemplary behavior regarding Company Ethics and “Code of Conduct” policy and HSE rules and regulations
Flowline engineering activities
For in-house studies:
- In cooperation with other disciplines (geosciences, metocean, specialists and experts), ensure that Basis of Design, methodologies and margins are properly defined and managed, considering pipeline scope of work.
- For subcontracted studies: o Identify, define the scope of work, compile inputs, implement and follow-up of all necessary subcontracted studies and then review the results, issue or validate recommendations for input in the design of pipelines, considering risks and uncertainties associated.
- Management & governance o Propose proactively alternative designs or technical solutions whenever required, accounting for the various constraints of project packages,
- Ensure adequate and timely reporting to the SURF Technical Lead (progress concerns) and as a general manner, anticipates problems, optimizes, improves and offers solutions with regards to his discipline,
- Participate and contribute actively to Projects Reviews (HAZOP, HAZID, PR…) and prepare or participate in any necessary Safety/Technical Audits.
- During the FEED / Execution Phases: o Participate in the Contractors selection process (FEED, Detailed Engineering, Construction and Installation): development of Request For Quotation (RFQ) package documents, clarifications and award,
Participate to the supervision and control of the FEED and Detailed Engineering by timely reviewing and validating the documentation related to the discipline issued by Contractors (technical documentation, queries and derogation requests), in compliance with SOR, Project
Contractual technical specifications and procedures, TotalEnergies General Specifications, Discipline requirements, International norms and Standards, with the objective to ensure respect of schedule, cost, quality and safety,
- Raise consequently necessary comments and highlight unsafe design, deviations, unacceptable or unjustified design choices, constructability, installation and precommissioning issues,
- Participate as required to regular of specific meetings with Contractors,
- Interface actively with other disciplines engineers and other package engineers as necessary on all engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, operation and maintenance matters, in order to ensure consistency of the work,
- Assist Project Team Representatives at pre-fabrication sites and participate to the resolution of related disciplines problems occurring during the Execution Phase, to advise on technical deviation requests and keep updated the related documentation,
- Participate to the Installation Phase, tests, commissioning and handover, assisting when necessary, the Operation Leader during all the offshore work campaigns.
Reporting
- ensure adequate and timely reporting to SURF Technical Leader.
- assist the SURF Technical Leader and SURF Package Manager in reporting, progress monitoring, and answering to queries relevant to pipeline activities being part of SURF package scope of work
Qualifications
- Professional Experience (years): min 15 years in the Oil and Gas Industry
- Experience in similar position (years): more than 10 years in similar role (Deep Water environment project)
- Level / Diploma: Engineering degree or equivalent
- Languages: English oral and written mandatory, Oral French advantageous
- Good communication and negotiations with Contractors and Suppliers are required with frequent participation to technical workshops and committees.
- Good knowledge of GS referential
- Good knowledge of relevant codes (DNV)
