Junior Business Development Manager
- Full-time
Company Description
We are a Swiss-headquartered provider of technical assistance and workforce solutions, operating in more than 70 countries across the energy, oil and gas, nuclear, defence, mining and industrial sectors. Our Dubai office covers the Gulf and wider regional markets.
We are looking for a Junior Business Development Manager to build and develop a client portfolio across the region. This is a hands-on commercial role for someone early in their career who wants ownership of a territory rather than a support function.
Job Description
What you will do
Identify and qualify prospects across target sectors, and build a pipeline from research, referrals, industry events and direct outreach
Approach decision-makers by phone, email and in person — project directors, site and construction managers, procurement, HR and talent acquisition
Understand a client's operational situation well enough to propose the right service: recruitment and sourcing, employer of record, payroll, mobility and immigration support, or full project workforce solutions
Prepare commercial proposals, rate build-ups and tender responses in coordination with operations and finance
Support vendor registration and prequalification processes with major operators, EPC contractors and their subcontractors
Manage client relationships through delivery, working alongside operations, HR and recruitment teams
Attend industry events and conferences in the region, and represent the company on client sites
Maintain accurate pipeline and activity records in the CRM
Qualifications
What we are looking for
Experience — one of the following:
- 1–3 years in a recruitment, manpower supply, staffing, HR services or employer-of-record business, in a commercial or client-facing capacity; or
- 1–3 years in industrial sales or business development within oil and gas, energy, nuclear, engineering services, industrial equipment or technical consulting
Candidates with a strong technical or engineering background who want to move into a commercial role will also be considered.
Essential:
Bachelor's degree
Fluent English, written and spoken
Genuine comfort with cold outreach — this role involves initiating contact with people who are not expecting your call
Ability to grasp technical scopes and translate them into staffing requirements
Organised, self-directed, and able to work without close supervision
Valid UAE residence visa or eligibility to obtain one
Advantageous:
Experience in the GCC market, or a working knowledge of regional business practice
Arabic or French in addition to English
Understanding of UAE and GCC labour law, visa processes or employment compliance
Existing network within oil and gas, energy or industrial contracting
UAE driving licence
Additional Information
What we offer
- Direct ownership of a territory and accounts from an early stage, rather than a supporting role in someone else's pipeline
- Exposure to major international operators, EPC contractors and specialised industrial clients
- Structured mentoring from a senior commercial team, with a clear route to a Business Development Manager position
- Competitive base salary with a performance-based incentive scheme
- Medical insurance, annual leave and air ticket in accordance with UAE labour law
