Job Description

  • Lead the HVAC discipline, coordinating Contractors, Vendors, Consultants and interfaces with other engineering disciplines.
  • Review and oversee HVAC engineering deliverables, designs, calculations, layouts and system architectures to ensure safe, compliant and fit-for-purpose solutions.
  • Monitor engineering progress, identify technical, schedule and HSE risks, and drive appropriate corrective and preventive actions.
  • Provide technical support to Construction and Site teams, including resolution of technical queries, non-conformities, shop drawings and installation issues.
  • Participate in HSE studies, technical reviews, workshops, site inspections, FAT/SAT, pre-commissioning, commissioning and start-up activities.
  • Ensure HVAC systems meet requirements for safety, operability, maintainability and regulatory compliance, and support their safe handover to Operations and Maintenance.
  • Manage HVAC interfaces, scope changes and technical decisions, while ensuring compliance with TotalEnergies procedures, project specifications and applicable standards.
  • Coordinate the HVAC team and ensure appropriate competency, workload distribution and delivery against project milestones.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in HVAC engineering for Oil & Gas or industrial projects, ideally within major EPC/EPSCC environments.
  • Strong technical expertise in HVAC design, engineering review, installation, commissioning and operational requirements.
  • Experience managing and coordinating Contractors, Vendors and multidisciplinary engineering interfaces.
  • Good understanding of HSE, safe-by-design principles, HAZOP/HAZID, constructability, PTW and SIMOPS requirements.
  • Ability to identify and manage technical risks, scope changes and engineering deviations while providing clear recommendations to project management.
  • Strong communication, coordination, analytical and problem-solving skills, with a proactive and accountable approach.
  • Ability to work effectively in an international environment, including assignments in Chengdu, China and Baku, Azerbaijan.
