Job Description

  • Lead and coordinate the Telecom engineering scope for the Absheron Onshore Package, ensuring compliance with project specifications, standards, schedule, quality and HSE requirements.
  • Manage and technically supervise EPSCC Contractors and vendors, including review and approval of Telecom engineering deliverables.
  • Coordinate Telecom interfaces with ICSS, Instrumentation, Electrical, Process, Mechanical, Civil and other disciplines.
  • Monitor engineering progress, technical decisions, risks, deviations, derogations and scope changes, ensuring timely corrective and mitigation actions.
  • Lead or participate in design reviews, HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, CHAZOP, constructability reviews and technical workshops.
  • Promote fit-for-purpose, cost-effective and standardized Telecom solutions, including value engineering and lessons learned.
  • Provide technical support during construction, installation, commissioning and Site activities, including resolution of technical queries and non-conformities.
  • Support the Onshore Package Instrumentation & ICSS Lead with engineering reporting, risk management, change management and project decision-making.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Telecommunications, Electronics, Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, with substantial experience in Telecom engineering.
  • Significant experience in oil & gas, energy or industrial projects, preferably within EPC/EPSCC environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of industrial Telecom systems and their interfaces with ICSS.
  • Proven experience in Contractor/vendor management, engineering document review and multidisciplinary interface management.
  • Good knowledge of relevant international standards, project specifications, engineering practices and HSE requirements.
  • Experience with HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, CHAZOP, constructability and other engineering studies is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively in multicultural international teams.
  • Willingness and flexibility to work in Chengdu, China during Detailed Engineering, followed by Baku, Azerbaijan, with international travel as required.
