This position is for Mozambique LNG project.
Job Description
• Supervise and expedite the completion of fabrication and assembly of the PESB (Prefabricated Electrical Substation Buildings) units on behalf of the Company.
• Oversee Quality Inspection, pre-commissioning and Yard Acceptance Testing (YAT) activities.
• Oversee preservation for shipping/storage and FOB delivery from the yard.
• Commit to and track the delivery schedule of the PESBs and associated key milestones.
• Expedite delivery of free-issued equipment into the PESBs and follow up engineering deliverables and equipment deliveries with relevant vendors.
• Track installation, testing and pre-commissioning activities for each PESB; identify delays early and drive corrective actions.
• Promote and champion the Company's safety culture in all interactions with contractor and supplier teams, monitoring adherence to Company safety rules and leading by example.
• Monitor and enforce the timely resolution of quality issues (Non-Conformance Reports, Corrective Action Reports) and punch-list items.
• Participate in job-completion walkthroughs with contractor and supplier representatives; document and report any safety, technical or organizational issues.
• Ensure works at the yard are properly manned, managed and executed by the contractor teams and their subcontractors.
• Maintain close working relationships with the EPC contractor; prepare for and participate in progress meetings.
• Maintain a visible, constant presence at the yard and participate in joint daily reviews of work performed.
• Issue a detailed weekly progress report on manufacturing activities to the Project management team.
Qualifications
• Engineering degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering.
• 10 years' experience in a related discipline, with sound general knowledge of the oil & gas industry.
• Background in electrical substation design, fabrication, assembly and/or commissioning is preferred.
• Solid understanding of the areas critical to the success of large, complex projects: safety, environment, work organization, cost, schedule, quality, organizational competency and reputational risk.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills are required; working knowledge of Bahasa Indonesia is an advantage.
