They are looking for a Maintenance Manager to oversee the central maintenance function and ensure the performance, reliability, and integrity of production facilities. Based in Port-Gentil, the role involves leading maintenance strategy deployment, supporting field operations, and coordinating engineering, planning, and maintenance support functions to optimise asset performance and extend equipment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure full compliance with HSSE policies, local regulations, and applicable international standards.
- Define and implement maintenance policies, procedures, and best practices aligned with industry benchmarks.
- Supervise and coordinate cross-functional maintenance teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation/Automation, and Maintenance Support/CMMS).
- Provide technical assistance to operations teams, including fault diagnosis, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
- Prepare, manage, and optimise maintenance budgets (OPEX and CAPEX).
- Oversee service contracts and vendor performance across maintenance activities.
- Contribute to spare parts strategy and inventory optimisation initiatives.
- Develop and maintain preventive maintenance programmes and long-term maintenance planning.
- Drive reliability and performance improvement initiatives, including KPIs and asset availability monitoring.
- Lead engineering studies and manage upgrade or modification projects on existing installations.
- Ensure the integrity and compliance of critical equipment and systems, and implement corrective actions when required.
- Participate in technical investigations and continuous improvement processes.
- Provide support during operational incidents, including on-call technical expertise when necessary.
- Ensure accurate tracking and reporting of maintenance performance and activities.
- Promote competency development within maintenance teams through structured training and development programmes.
Qualifications
Profile & Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Energy, or a related engineering field.
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in industrial maintenance or rotating equipment, ideally in Oil & Gas or similar sectors.
- Strong understanding of maintenance strategies, reliability engineering, and CMMS tools.
- Proven experience managing multidisciplinary teams in complex operational environments.
- Knowledge of asset integrity management and lifecycle extension strategies.
- Experience in budget management (CAPEX/OPEX) and contract administration.
- Strong analytical mindset with solid troubleshooting capabilities.
- Ability to work cross-functionally with operations, projects, supply chain, HSE, and logistics teams.
- Experience with SAP or similar maintenance systems is an advantage.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on safety and performance.
- Fluent in French; working proficiency in English is desirable.
