Job Description
Systems Administrators with Active Directory skills-- We’re building a dynamic engineering team with a real-world cyber mission focus. Seeking seasoned professionals who are highly motivated to put their knowledge into play developing, deploying and maintaining advanced, complex operational networks. These are full time positions in Quantico, VA location, with hybrid work potential, and available upon award in April 2023. Clearance requirement: Active TS (w/SSBI) / SCI eligible minimum.
Duties involved:
- Making group policy modifications to support the needs of the domain
- Reviewing existing configurations of the replication topology for inconsistencies and deploying new configurations during site build.
- Authoring PowerShell scripts to automate deployment tasks.
- Configuring and troubleshooting name resolution in an Active Directory-integrated split-brain DNS environment.
- Performing daily health checks of the enterprise, and up-channelling findings with suggested remedies for implementation.
- Managing the Active Directory-based activation of Windows platforms
- Implementing security enhancements to the environment as directed by the CSO.
- Proactively reviewing current Active Directory technologies and presenting suggestions of those which may enhance the mission.
- Supporting the unit with other duties as assigned within the scope of work.
Qualifications
Clearance Requirement: Active TS (w/SSBI)/ SCI eligible
Education: Four (4) year college degree in system administration, information technology, computer science, computer engineering, plus five (5) years of experience in designing, managing, administering, documenting, troubleshooting, and supporting Active Directory components or in lieu of education ten (10) years of experience in designing, managing, administering, documenting, troubleshooting, and supporting Active Directory components within IT systems in both production and development environments.
Skills / Capabilities:
Providing support to the umbrella of Active Directory (AD) technologies.
- Enterprise-level experience in optimizing Directory Services infrastructure
- Monitoring and maintaining existing Directory Services environments in multiple enclaves
- Utilizing Group Policy to harden resources within the environment
- Working knowledge of DISA STIGs and their implementation
- Evaluating the relationship between existing policies and plans for the introduction of those needed in the future
- Troubleshooting Group Policy processing issues that arise on systems within the environment
- Maintaining DNS at the service level, verifying functionality and troubleshooting issues
- Utilizing split-brain DNS for multi-homed enterprise resources
- Maintaining the health of existing AD Federated Services technologies
- Working knowledge of creating/maintaining federation trusts
- Maintaining the health of existing AD Certificate Services technologies
