Hourly Rate: $28+
 
Interviews available on a revolving basis for Spring, Summer, and Fall. Currently seeking Fall 2022, Spring and Summer 2023 for 12-week Artificial Intelligence (AI) Engineer Interns! Candidates are encouraged to apply early as these positions fill up well in advance. Positions are available in Austin-TX, Arlington-VA, and Raleigh-NC, only.

  • Enrolled student in Bachelor/Masters Computer Science (or similar), seeking and eligible for an internship/co-op
  • Eligible student interested in joining an agile team that is focused on building new technologies and creating innovative solutions to hard problems in the cyber, networking, and business intelligence domains
  • Eligible student who's projects include applying state-of-the-art natural language processing (NLP) techniques to cyber data sources, and hardening, augmenting, and automating zero trust architectures with reinforcement learning and anomaly detection techniques

The Role
In this position, you will have the opportunity to apply machine learning and deep learning techniques to real-world problems in cyber and networking. To accomplish this work, the ideal candidate should have a working knowledge of data management, machine learning, NLP, deep learning, and software solution development. They should have strong foundational software engineering skills with the ability to build and deploy proof of concepts and working prototypes. In addition to contributing directly to a project, you will work with, and be mentored by, a research and engineering team consisting of other AI engineers, software engineers, and network engineers.

Qualifications

Education

  • Currently enrolled and working towards a Bachelor€™s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Software Engineering, or similar

Required

  • Entry-level experience in a language such as Python or R
  • Entry-level experience with:
  • Deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or Keras
  • Traditional machine learning algorithms and Scikit-Learn (e.g., decision trees, Gaussian mixture models)
  • Modern deep-learning techniques for NLP
  • Machine learning techniques and predictive analytics (e.g., deep learning, regression, classification, clustering, unsupervised learning)
  • Demonstrable coding skills and familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
  • Ability to read and review other developer€™s code
  • Skilled in the ability to clearly communicate in both written and oral forms
  • Basic understanding of agile software development frameworks (e.g., SAFe, Scrum, Kanban)

Clearance

  • Must be clearance eligible to Secret level

Desired

  • Entry-level experience with:
  • Reinforcement learning
  • Graph neural networks/geometric deep learning
  • Docker or other container solutions
