Job Description

IOMAXIS is currently seeking a DevOps Engineer to work on a program team at our Lorton, VA office. This position will research and develop methods focusing on automating rapid deployment and maintenance of infrastructures. You will be an integral part of the team, building new and exciting capabilities for enabling next-generation infrastructures for our customers. You will learn rapidly and apply your problem solving skills to perform cutting edge automation across multiple infrastructures. This is a full-time, on-site opening.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Leading technical efforts automating across multiple virtualized environments
  • Using automation tools (Ansible, puppet, Chef, etc.) to automate various tasks and processes (Asset Configuration Management, VM Patching, Standard Changes, Security Scans, Environment Builds, and Environment Deployments)
  • Providing high-end enterprise virtualized environment support for Windows Server and Linux based services across multiple environments spanning the full system development life cycle
  • Collaborating with other engineers, as well as configuration management and system security personnel on the program Improving program efficiency and security posture through development, maintenance, and improvement of automation solutions
  • Collaborating with network, software and other system engineers to plan, design, develop and implement enhancements to improve system capability and security posture
  • Problem solving and troubleshooting issues with deployed systems
  • Developing and preparing technical and procedural documentation related to responsibilities
  • Actively participating in learning new technologies to build best solutions

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar

Security Clearance:

  • Must have a minimum TS/SCI  

Required Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of experience in industry using infrastructure automation technologies (Ansible, puppet, Chef, etc...)
  • 2-6 years of overall relevant software or systems engineering experience
  • Ability to work with several teams across the organization and communicate effectively
  • Familiarity with architectural trade-off analysis, including researching new technologies and proposing/justifying their use #CJ
