Job Description

This position is responsible for the full-cycle of accounts payable including processing expense reports, supporting the month-end accounting close, and assisting with general ledger account reconciliations.  This requires you to have accounts payable and general ledger experience, proficiency in MS Word and Excel, and the ability to work effectively with others.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

• Review/Post accounts payable invoices daily
• Coordinate payments to vendors and label partners
• Prepare a weekly check run, and a large volume monthly royalty check run
• Resolve payment related issues directly with vendors and label partners
• Assist in processing of royalty statements into proprietary database
• Review invoice posting at GL detail, and prepare journal entries for corrections when necessary
• Reconcile AP account to GL
• Manage vendor relations, as well as internal customer service relations with fellow employees, managers and department heads
• 1099’s and new vendor set ups
• Review/process/research employee expense reports through Concur
• Ensure Sales & Use tax is properly applied, and that returns are submitted and paid on time
Other duties and projects as assigned

Qualifications:

  • • Minimum 3 years full cycle accounts payable experience
    • Working knowledge of the online music space preferred
    • Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, flexible and dependable
    • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
    • Some general ledger experience preferred
    • Experience with MS Dynamics & Concur preferred
    • Ability to work well under pressure in a busy environment with little supervision
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
