This role offers a starting range of $70,000 to $80,000 annually. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications such as experience, education, certifications, and skills, as well as geographic considerations.

Join our team as a Deal Desk Specialist and play a key role in supporting business growth through strategic pricing and commercial analysis. We're looking for a detail-oriented professional with experience in pricing, deal desk, contract administration, financial analysis, or related disciplines. Working alongside our Pricing Manager, you will engage with teams across Sales, Finance, Product Management, Customer Service, Contracts Administration, and Supply Chain to evaluate opportunities, streamline processes, and help deliver value to our customers.  As a Deal Desk Specialist, you will be responsible for:

• Deal Analysis & Deal Desk Support
  • Prepare discounted cash flow (DCF) and margin evaluations for new deals using approved Company templates and models.
  • Test deal sensitivity to key variables and identify the assumptions that most affect the outcome.
  • Assemble complete deal packages with findings, risks, and a recommendation, and submit them to the Deal Desk Manager for review and approval.
  • Maintain the deal pipeline log, track status through approval, and follow up on outstanding items.

• Contractual Pricing & Escalation Management
  • Track, calculate, and administer raw material, index-based, and contractual price increases in accordance with executed agreement terms.
  • Maintain the contractual pricing calendar and initiate required actions ahead of effective dates and notice deadlines.
  • Interpret pricing clauses, validate calculation methodology, and prepare supporting documentation for customer notifications.

• Contract Adherence & Compliance Monitoring
  • Monitor customer performance against contractual commitments such as volume tiers, rebate thresholds, and pricing terms.
  • Identify variances between contracted and realized pricing, investigate root cause, and escalate non-compliance with a recommended course of action.
  • Prepare periodic contract adherence reporting for the Deal Desk Manager and commercial leadership.

• Pricing Execution & Data Integrity
  • Enter and maintain pricing data in SAP in accordance with approved documentation and Company pricing policy.
  • Validate entries against approval records and correct discrepancies to protect margin and data accuracy.
  • Partner with Pricing Administration to ensure consistent application of pricing conditions and records.

• Continuous Improvement & Documentation
  • Document deal desk methodology, assumptions, and work instructions, and keep them current.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize, simplify, and automate deal analysis and contractual escalation processes.
  • Support pricing policy compliance and audit requests with clear, traceable supporting documentation.
  • Drive process automation through CRM (Salesforce.com)

• Deal Economics & Financial Analysis
  • Build DCF models
  • Perform NPV and margin analysis
  • Test deal sensitivity
  • Evaluate profitability scenarios
  • Develop recommendations on commercial deals
  • Submit Capital Expenditure Requests for approval where deals require equipment or other capital.

• Must be available and willing to travel 

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

• Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a 4-year college or university in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
• Working knowledge of financial modeling, margin, and contribution analysis.
• Advanced Excel skills required. 

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider it a plus if you have:

• Two to four years of related experience in pricing, deal desk, commercial analysis, contract administration, or financial analysis is preferred
• SAP experience
