Job Description
We are seeking a Shipping/Receiving Clerk to join our team. As a Shipping/Receiving Clerk you will be responsible for:
- Maintaining accuracy of inventory and cycle counting
- Assigning materials/items to designated areas and placing them on racks, shelves, or in bins
- Marking materials with identifying information
- Assembling internal and external customers’ orders from stock and placing orders on pallets
- Preparing items for shipment
- Using SAP for maintaining records and printing labels
- Monitoring and creating deliveries and shipping schedules
- Creating Bills of Lading (BOLs) and scheduling carriers for pick-ups
- Performing additional duties as required
Qualifications
To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:
- Have a high school diploma or GED equivalent
- Have 2 years of related experience
- Have prior leadership skills
- Have excellent written, reading comprehension and math skills
- Be able to operate a forklift, cherry picker and turret
- Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Suite programs and other computer skills
- Be able to bend, push or pull when required
In addition to these qualifications, we will consider it a plus if you have:
- Previous warehouse experience
- Previous hazardous materials training
- SAP knowledge
