Job Description

We are seeking an Offset Technical Service Representative to work with us.  This person will be responsible for Offset Sheetfed conventional, UV and Heatset ink. This person will report to the Director of Technical Services for performance of assigned functions, and also coordinates with Sales, Regional Inplant Managers and Inplant Technicians.  The person in this role will be required to travel domestically up to 50%. As a Tech Service Representative you will be responsible for:

  • Troubleshooting ink / press issues
  • Running trials at new or potential customers
  • Performing Technical Service in local Lab or at customer locations
  • G7 Certifications 
  • Assist customers with fingerprinting their presses
  • Performing color matches if needed
  • Filling in at inkrooms if needed
  • Assisting & training the RIM's and Inkroom Technicians
  • Inventory management and record-keeping
  • Best practices and complete understanding of safety 

Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Have a High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent
  • 15+ years experience in Offset Printing
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills
  • Effectively communicate with peers and customers
  • Must be able to pass a color vision test
  • Have the ability and willingness to travel
  • Ability to troubleshoot offset press and ink issues
  • Be able to match colors effectively
  • Have excellent written, reading comprehension and basic math skills
  • Have the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:

  • Associate degree from 2-year college or trade school
  • G7 expert certification
  • Previous ink inplant experience
  • SAP experience and proficient with Microsoft Suite programs.
  • Offset press experience and proficient 
  • Management experience
  • live in the Chicago or KC area
