Job Description

We are in search for an Quality Control Supervisor in Lebanon, OH.  This individual directs, coordinates and plans the activities of the Lab and the exempt and non-exempt work force (including chemists, color matchers, formulators, inplant technicians and technical service representatives) involved in developing and maintaining programs, techniques and data so the product quality is achieved and customer requirements are met.  Serves as lead person for a group of employees utilizing established methods and procedures, normally to a maximum of 15 employees.  Communicates procedures to all subordinates, ensuring they are understood and implemented, when applicable.  Reports to Lab Manager. As an QC Supervisor, you will be responsible for:

  • Supervising Quality Control testing and color match requests.
  • Assigning responsibilities for specific work or functional activities to QC laboratory technicians.
  • Scheduling of priorities for a logical method to complete all in-house work involved in color matching requirements through use of Uncountable software.
  • Directing laboratory experiments and production formulations and processing trials to meet the customer’s requirements as to cost and quality.
  • Working with the supervisor to maintain and improve quality and consistency and lowering costs of raw materials and formulations.
  • Assisting with color matching, QC, and other special testing as needs arise.
  • Maintaining materials, formulations, and specifications in SAP.
  • Lead the Quality Management (QM) pillar for the facility.
  • Assuring that laboratory/technical workers apply quality standards and control procedures to ensure products meet the customer's specifications and expectations.
  • Reviewing formulas and processes based on test results and making suggestions to improve product quality or lower costs.
  • Working with the supervisor in maintaining sound relationships with customers.
  • The direct or indirect training of new employees on the equipment they will be using. 

Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • High school education
  • Have 2 years of technical experience plus 2 years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Have excellent customer service skills.
  • Understand basic manufacturing operations. 
  • Demonstrate strong MS Excel working knowledge.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:

  • Previous experience within the ink industry.
