Job Description

We are seeking a R&D Laboratory Manager to work at our state-of-the-art R&D center. The position will lead the Lab operations, managing, monitoring, and maintaining department operations in the Laboratory to promote effective and efficient department performance and high-quality service. As a Lab Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Working under a minimum amount of direct supervision, carrying out research and development assignments that are relatively broad in nature, usually requiring considerable knowledge of particular field of chemical specialization.
  • Coordinating activities of lower-level chemists and technicians.
  • Analyzing technical aspects of projects, and determining the methods and techniques to be used and the principles to be applied.
  • Conducting research on manufactured products to develop and improve products, collecting and recording data, interpretations and conclusions, and reporting results.
  • Conducting research into composition, structure, properties and relationships of printing inks, coatings, and raw materials used in their formulation.
  • Preparing standards and specifications for processes, facilities, products, and tests.

Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Have a college degree in Chemistry or a related area.  Masters or Ph.D. a plus.
  • Have at least 5 years' technical experience 
  • Have at least 2 years of supervisory/management experience.
  • Understand basic manufacturing operations and the basic aspects of printing technologies.
  • Demonstrate strong MS Excel working knowledge.
  • Have excellent written and verbal communication skills.

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:

  • 10 years of technical experience developing inks and or coatings preferred.
