Job Description

Ready to join a team of creative, smart, agile people?  This new opening is an addition to a growing team.  We are seeking a Corporate Material Manager who will work integrally within the INX End-to-End Supply Chain to support process adherence, effectiveness and continuous improvement initiatives.  You will provide supportive alignment to the management across facilities on matters of materials, warehousing, consignment, purchasing practices and order management. You will take ownership of all inventories & related practices by maintaining best practices, leading Physical Inventory initiatives, and creating awareness across INX around key metrics to foster improvement.  As a Material Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Reviewing SAP material master data for completeness and integrity to ensure adherence to INX policy and protocol.
  • Maintaining control and awareness of all inventory adjustments, including regular cycle counts & annual physical inventories.
  • Supporting & growing the standardization of End-to-End Supply Chain processes, templates, and metrics.
  • Planning, propose and execute value stream mapping and team-based continuous improvement events to execute process improvements; drive Lean thinking and practices internally.
  • Benchmarking current functional performance and establish quantifiable improvement targets within the supply chain.
  • Ensuring the effective execution of material delivery and replenishment strategies to support the master schedule & inventory metric health
  • Analyzing market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability and respond accordingly to prevent stockouts while supporting inventory turn targets.
  • Governing MRP process including but not limited to purchase order mgmt., inventory levels and engagement of material awareness at all levels.
  • Working cooperatively with peers to ensure inventory reporting is encompassing and value added including but not limited to SLOB (slow-moving obsolescence), Non/Critical Availability & overall health across the inventory portfolio.
  • Committed participation in TPM activities with a clear understanding of all KPI targets for their team, site and department.

Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Have a Bachelor’s degree in Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or similar discipline or equivalent on-the-job working experience is preferred
  • Have 5 plus years of Materials management in a manufacturing environment
  • Have APICS certification or the ability to pursue APICS certification
  • Possess strong MS Excel working knowledge
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
  • Demonstrate experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes
  • Utilize problem solving methods to continuously improve quality, delivery, and cost performance
  • Exhibit strong leadership capability in cross-functional teams
  • Travel up to 30% of the time

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:

  • Previous experience within the Ink Industry
