Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to work at one of our facilities. This is a 3rd shift position and weekend coverage. As part of your job you will have to complete all maintenance functions including preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing manufacturing equipment, while promoting and practicing safety at all times, and contributing to the continuous improvement of plant equipment by finding ways to eliminate unscheduled downtime and improve efficiency. You will be responsible to:

  • Disassemble machines and/or Install new parts or equipment and re-assemble
  • Install, program, or repair automated machinery and equipment
  • Clean and perform preventative maintenance on equipment
  • Electrical work as directed by Manager
  • Repair and maintain physical structure
  • Operate cutting torch or welding equipment

Qualifications

To perform your job as expected, you will be required to:

  • Have an 1-year certificate from college or technical school; or 3-6 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of both
  • Demonstrate mechanical and electrical skills
  • Have excellent written, reading comprehension and math skills
  • Exhibit the ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
  • Demonstrate ability to read and understand blueprints and/or schematic drawings to determine the proper work procedures and assembly requirements
  • Have direct knowledge of how to troubleshoot, repair and maintain pumps, mixers, and processing equipment
  • Be able to lift up to 50 lbs

In addition to these qualifications, we will consider as a plus if you have:

  • Experience setting up and operating various tools
  • Previous experience within the Ink Industry
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Forklift experience
