Job Description

Are you passionate about ensuring the quality and reliability of highly complex technical components in a high-tech manufacturing environment? In this leadership role, you will lead our Incoming Inspection team and drive quality assurance activities related to supplied components, assemblies and materials. Working closely with Procurement, Operations, Engineering, Supplier Quality and external partners, you will help ensure that incoming goods consistently meet our demanding quality standards and contribute to the reliable manufacturing of our multi-beam mask writers.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and empower the Incoming Inspection team while fostering a culture of quality, accountability and continuous improvement
  • Define, implement and continuously improve incoming inspection concepts, quality standards and risk-based control plans for supplied components and assemblies
  • Ensure that incoming materials, parts and assemblies meet IMS quality requirements and support uninterrupted production operations
  • Drive the structured handling of non-conformities, root-cause analyses and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
  • Collaborate closely with Procurement, Supplier Quality, Operations and Engineering to resolve quality issues and implement sustainable corrective actions
  • Support supplier qualification, supplier development and supplier audit activities
  • Establish effective quality monitoring mechanisms and ensure timely escalation of quality-related risks
  • Analyze incoming quality and supplier performance data, identify trends and translate insights into measurable improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to the continuous enhancement of quality assurance processes and support the implementation of company-wide quality objectives
  • Ensure compliance with applicable quality standards, internal requirements and audit expectations

Qualifications

  • University degree in Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, Quality Management or a comparable technical field
  • Several years of professional experience in Quality Assurance, Incoming Inspection, Supplier Quality or Manufacturing Quality
  • Experience with cleanroom environments, contamination control requirements and the handling of sensitive high-precision components is a strong advantage
  • Proven leadership experience in managing teams within a complex manufacturing or high-tech environment
  • Experience working closely with Procurement organizations and external suppliers
  • Strong knowledge of quality methodologies and continuous improvement approaches
  • Experience with quality management systems and internal or external audits
  • Solid understanding of technical drawings, specifications, manufacturing processes and inspection methods
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a structured and data-driven mindset
  • Ability to build trusted relationships across functions and challenge stakeholders constructively when required
  • Excellent communication skills in English; German is a strong advantage

With us you will receive an attractive annual gross salary from 75.000 € (plus bonus, KV Metallgewerbe). Depending on your experience, this can also be higher.
