So, what will you do?  

As our Test Analyst, you will be pivotal in delivering reliable, high-quality software to our merchants. You'll assess business changes, determine their impact, craft test plans, create detailed test cases, and carry out comprehensive testing. 
 

In addition to the above, you will:  

Testing:  

• Plan, create and execute tests for validating iKhokha’s fintech software including end-to-end testing with hardware integration. 
• Manage testing lifecycle and test data. 
• Discover defects and improve quality 
• Engaging with stakeholders and providing updates 
• Risk analysis 
• Impact analysis on dependencies 
• Document and publish sign-off results 
• Production feature verification 
• Participate in releases as required by the team 
• Schedule and participate in internal testing events, collaborate closely with project and test teams as they develop test plans for new features and enhancements 

Test Planning & Test Cases:  

• Create, and help the test team create functional test cases 
• Responsible for test planning, test cases, and peer reviewing testing artifacts 
• Manage and maintain regression test packs 

Test Automation:  

• Perform black box testing and assist in the identification and design of automation tests as well as identification of manual test processes that can be automated. 
• Consistently execute scripts 
• Mentor and train other test team members in testing processes and test automation tools 
• Identify potential opportunities of saving manual testing efforts by leveraging test automation 
• Perform API testing 

Agility:  

• Participate and contribute on daily stand up 
• Clear communication on own work in progress 
• Participate and contribute on all sprint ceremonies (grooming, planning and retrospective) 
• Estimation of work 
• Continuous learning 
• Communicate and do knowledge transfer (excellent verbal, written and presentation skills) 
• Diagnose and resolve test issues and advise on application enhancements with developers 
• Conflict management. 

• IT Diploma or Degree/Relevant IT qualification 
• ISTQB Certificate 

 Deal Breakers:  

• 3 to 5 years’ as a Software Test Analyst with experience in testing backend and web app platforms  

Specific Knowledge & Skills:  

• 1+ years’ experience in using test automation tools i.e.: Selenium to execute test scripts 
• 1+ years’ experience testing POS systems and support. 
• POS systems testing  
• Mobile App testing 
• REST-Assured API Testing 
• End-to-End Testing Life Cycle 
• Agile Methodology 
• Analytical mindset 
• Jira 
• Confluence 
• Good Knowledge of Agile Methodology 
• Experience/Exploratory Based Testing 
• Experience in testing payment systems (advantageous)
