Job Description

Purpose of Job

  • Ensure the department is fast and efficient for all customers and cost effective for the IKEA store. 
  • Ensure that customers' issues are handled in a reliable, efficient, accurate and friendly way.
  • Ensure that co-workers are supported in their daily work. 

Assignments

Empowering the team through knowledge, confidence, trust, authority and motivation so they are always ready to support customers in the best way possible.

Available to deal positively and quickly with issues raised by customers thereby supporting my team when they cannot resolve a need.

Supporting and coaching my co-workers to ensure customers leave with a positive impression of the IKEA store and want to come back and shop more frequently with us.

Leading by example in terms of customer focus, co-operation with other departments, simplicity and giving and taking responsibility to optimise our customer's experience in the unit.

Following up on the department action plan and taking action to ensure store are continually focused on achieving the agreed goals.

Ensure the store is a safe and secure environment at all times for visitors and co-workers IKEA Safety and Security requirements/Local Laws and Standards.

Assisting customers to arrange for transport and assembly services through a well-managed Service or Home Delivery Desk.

Good understanding of the easy buying process.

Proven leadership knowledge in a people-centric organisation.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to find solutions for customer and operational issues.

Good attention to details by being persistent, structured and accurate.
