Job Description

The Safety, Security and Compliance Manager lead and inspire the store team, co-workers and external security guard service to optimise safety, security and compliance in the store, for both customers and co-workers, using the knowledge of our IKEA Group Safety and Security Manual, ASR Rules & SOPS, local regulations and other legislative requirements, securing a safe, secure and compliant environment for our customers and co-workers as well as protecting our assets and the IKEA brand.

To lead the Safety, Security & Compliance work and strive to create a culture where all co-workers understand and accept responsibility for safety, security and compliance in their daily work, work proactively with all functions, coordinate audit and review programs and identify and reduce risk to ensure operational compliance with IKEA requirements and local legislation, in the most efficient and effective way.

·       To ensure routines are established and reviews undertaken.

·       To ensure that meetings, required by local legislation, are conducted and correctly               recorded e.g. Emergency Control Organisation and OHS Committee.

·       To ensure that the Store’s Emergency and Crisis Response programs are always               capable of immediate response.

·       To monitor internal and IKEA-related external incidents and accidents to ensure that           there is rapid response, investigation and reporting of all incidents & emergencies               in line with IKEA requirements and local legislation.

·       To co-ordinate, the insurance claims procedures. Liaise with the Country Risk &                   Compliance and Security Manager, our insurance brokers and local insurance                   companies, as required.

·       To act as a representative interface with outside agencies (e.g. police, fire brigade,             external guard service-companies etc) and keep informed of any regulatory                         changes to ensure the viability of these relationships.

·       To develop an action plan for administration in the store, in consultation with the                 department managers, line managers and Country Compliance Manager, and                     ensure that it is operationally implemented in line with ASR rules and SOPs.

·       To ensure that the compliance process is established in store and identify, together             with the department managers in the store and Country Compliance Manager,                   improvement potentials. Report on a tertial basis the store compliance status to the           Country Risk & Compliance Manager.

·       To identify, together with the department managers in the store and Country Risk,              Compliance and Security Manger, improvements in working methods and system              support that will reduce the administrative workload.

·       Responsible for the education and training in administration SOPs and working                  methods, including audits, Compliance tools, and reports, maintaining and filing                  records as required.  

·       I secure compliance to Rules and SOPs in my area and contribute actively by                    participating in the iCheck/weCheck process.

·       Educate and empower all co-workers and external service providers on all aspects            of the Ikano Code of Conduct, Anti-corruption & Bribery Policy, operational                          procedures and local legislation relating but not limited to health, safety and security          and the environment, cultivating a culture of transparency and ethical conduct.

·       Act as a responsible partner internally and externally, committed to creating a                    positive impact on people and planet by taking relevant actions that contribute                    toward our long-term sustainability objectives.

·       Educate and empower all co-workers and external service providers on all aspects            of the Ikano Code of Conduct, Anti-corruption & Bribery Policy, operational                          procedures and local legislation relating but not limited to health, safety and security          and the environment, cultivating a culture of transparency and ethical conduct.

·       Act as a responsible partner internally and externally, committed to creating a                    positive impact on people and planet by taking relevant actions that contribute                    toward our long-term sustainability objectives.

Qualifications

·       Experience from security operation in retail.
