Job Description
The Supply and demand planning leader (Retail Supply Integration (RSI) leader) reports directly to the RSI Country Manager and together will ensure the IKEA planning guidelines are well established in this new market by showing savviness in technical system planning set up (MS Navision) as well as working together with internal customers at the store and our suppliers.
Key Activities
- Live the IKEA values and nurture a strong and thriving IKEA culture that inspires colleagues to reach extraordinary achievements in the store and specifically in the Sales and Supply Support team.
- Strong Customer service mind set
- Actively drive the New Store Replenishment (NSR) & Establishment timelines related to supply planning.
- Work actively with Corporate Sales (Sales Leaders) to ensure an efficient product range administration process throughout the establishment process of the new DC and store or store rebuilds as well as being a key player of the S&OP process
- Ensure the range list and planning files are completed according to establishment and NSR timelines.
- Work closely with our Global IKEA Supply team in the US as well as local and overseas suppliers to ensure replenishment to the Mexican market.
- Analyse and work closely with the store on their order plan, specifically in areas of their receiving plan based on Central Build Up needs for sales locations, buffer areas, display needs, opening peaks etc.
- Ensure proper system setup (Microsoft Navision) and all ordering parameters are secured and maintained.
- Support and coach the Sales and Supply Support team at the store with their training plans and competence development to reflect business demands and needs. (eg. Order tool, related IT systems, working methods, SOPs etc.)
- Responsible to drive regular follow up meetings with various stakeholders (eg. RSI Manager, and Sales and Supply Support Manager) to review timelines, status updates and escalate supply restrictions.
Qualifications
Job requirements (MUST)
- 5+ Years in supply chain planning
- Knowledge of S&OP process
- Deep knowledge of planning techniques (VMI, CMI, Safety stock, replenishment intervals, storage capacity planning)
- Fluent in English and Spanish both written and spoken.
- Previous experience in implementing planning systems.
- Highly skilled in MS Excel
- High level of analytical and numerical skills.
- University degree in relevant field
- Project management skills.
Job requirements (PLUS)
- Experience in previously establishing retail operations.
- Skilled in MS Navision.
- Previous IKEA supply chain experience.
- APICS or other relevant certification.
