Job Description

PURPOSE OF THE JOB I contribute to the completion of the store replenishment process before opening, in the most efficient, commercial and safe way and secure the goods flow operations are optimized. I do this through using my knowledge of IKEA, as well as the IKEA tools and the experience and expertise of my colleagues. This results in agreed goods availability for customers at the lowest possible costs. We do this to strengthen the main objectives of IKEA to be leader in life at home in our local market and achieve growth and sustained long term profitability.

ASSIGNMENT:

Make sure of posting all documents resulted from operations.

I am always aware of customers when I am on the shop floor and I priorities offering them help and advice even when I am engaged in other tasks.

I encourage my customers to give feedback and I offer solutions to frequently asked questions. This helps to make a better future shopping experience for everyone.

I support the customers by using my knowledge about the stores and the offered services.

I work proactively to maintain the safety and security of my areas for customers and colleagues, and I am conscious of safety at all times in our store.

 

My overall objective is to secure goods availability for customers at the lowest possible costs. I do this by:

Performing sales space replenishment with flexibility and according to visual merchandising guidance.

Implementing agreed routines, working methods and tools. This includes common IT systems and techniques (like SGF mobile, CASY “quality case administration system” for goods receiving, delivery schedule).

Handling goods (unload, transport, replenish, stock in, stock out, pick, load) utilizing the correct material handling equipment and tools in order to operate safely, efficiently and minimize damage to stock and equipment

I am always available to help and support colleagues in my own department and in other areas of the store when needed.

I work together with other functions to improve the shopping experience for our customers in order to generate more sales.

Qualifications

Enthusiastic about work and working with others in a team.

Previously related experience.

Ability to priorities and organize own work to make efficient use of time available.

Previous experience in high volume warehouse or receiving/replenishment.

Good personal discipline

. Knowledge of store goods flow process.

A flexible approach/open to change.

Successfully completed material handling equipment certification training (depending on the area of responsibility).

Ability to use and take personal initiative.

Ability to work with material handling equipment.

Ability to handle handheld equipment.

Experience of working in a fast-paced environment.

Computer aptitude. Knowledge of country/regional language. Ability to work during the early hours of the day.
